 NOT 100% pashmina as advertised! Dec 31, 2010

I used an Amazon wish list for Christmas gifts this year and a family member ordered this "100% pashmina" shawl in hot pink for me. When I opened it on Christmas and felt the texture I knew immediately it wasn't !00% pashmina. In fact, the label attached to shawl said 70% pashmina 30% silk. That is not what I wanted and not what my family member saw on my wish list & ordered. I feel completely ripped off. I plan to share this feedback with Amazon. This vendor is unreliable.

The scarves are decent quality for the price. Overall it's a great value. Just be aware that the actual color is different from what was received for all the scarves I ordered. I ordered the hot pink which was so dark it looked red with a barely noticeable pink. And I ordered the dark lavendar which more closely resembled the light lavendar color picture.

I'm a fiber geek. The scarf I received didn't have any kind of content tag on it, and it wasn't made of wool (Pashmina, cashmere, or any other kind of wool). From my burn test, it's a viscose or a rayon--it smelled like burning paper, not burning hair. This isn't really a problem, except it was advertised as 100% pashmina. Either way, it's the correct color (I ordered green), the correct size and an excellent price.

The material is very thin---almost gauze-like---and shawl is poorly made. I got snags in it just pulling it out of the packaging.

I ordered a pink shawl for an accessory to a wedding party and it is just what I expected. Best price on the internet bc most of the shawls that other company's are selling are the same so this one is the cheapest. No hassles with shipping either. Thanks!
