Had this belt less than two weeks, and it already broke. Just from normal use,where the belt fasend, first the grommets came out, then the leather just tore in half. Dont waste your money!!!!

Definitely not the best quality belt around, but these are much sturdier than the ones found at mall kiosks for three or four times more cash.

This belt is great. I bought a medium for my 170lb old english mastiff to wear as a collar. I don't like spikes, so this was perfect. Leather is the upper. The belt shows wear after 3 months of the dog in the pool, so I'm ordering another one (small this time- medium was a tad too big). The D ring was sturdy enough for a dog. I also bought a belt for my son to match the pup- looks good on humans too.

Private Island has some of the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. When I first ordered this belt, the wrong one was shipped, but PI answered my email within a few days to apologize and let me know they were sending out the right belt. It arrived very quickly with another note inside saying again that my satisfaction was important to them. It's obvious from their actions, their timely follow-up, and their continued correspondence that rather than simply saying they care about their customers, Private Island really means it. The belt is good quality, especially for the price, with grommets that stay secure through normal wear and tear and leather that is well-sewn. It may be a little wide for some smaller belt loops, but it looks so sharp that I'd change clothes before I wore a different belt!
